Specialist insurer writing a varied book of niche and specialty lines, investing in their underwriting, pricing and technical capability, looking for an Underwriting Manager to lead the underwriting team and take day-to-day ownership of the book.
About Role
As the Underwriting Manager you will lead the underwriting team and own the day-to-day technical underwriting of the delegated and direct book, making sure risks are selected, priced and managed within appetite and in line with regulatory and delegated authority requirements. Owning the onboarding of new schemes, hold and develop the client relationships, monitor how the book, clients and products are performing.
About You
Candidates must have solid underwriting experience, ideally in specialty, niche or delegated authority lines with good portfolio judgement. Also looking for experience with coverholders or schemes, including onboarding new business and managing the commercial relationship. Experience leading or developing people also required. (RDT576)
