Excellent opportunity for an experienced New Business Senior Commercial Underwriter (Property & Casualty) to join one of the UK’s leading insurance companies as part of its strategic growth and business expansions plan.

About Role

Playing a critical role in managing branch success, the role demands a high level of influence on the Underwriting team – increasing the ability to collaborate with stakeholders (internal/external); developing technical and trading capability; driving service excellence.  Present propositions for larger Mid-Market and Mid-Corporate risks and working with Trading Underwriters to negotiate coverage, wordings and pricing.

About You

The role requires technical underwriting expertise in a commercial insurance environment and progress towards Dip CII qualification desirable or equivalent experience.  As well as sound understanding of insurance market and processes across commercial lines insurance operations, strong trading capability, coaching/development skills and excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
